Worship the Lord in the beauty of Holiness. As I read this verse yesterday, the words practically jumped off the page of the Bible and into my mind. I thought of times when I was witness to another person integrity or lack of it. I have seen and heard of people returning large sums of money because they knew they would not feel right about keeping the money. I have also heard more often than I would like to admit, I’m afraid, of wicked people who rob or kill their fellow man. The one scene makes us smile, and the other nauseates us, or at least it should. When we hear of politicians or other public figures, is it not refreshing to see one who even remotely resembles godliness? Then I wondered, do others see the beauty of holiness in me? Am I like a breath of fresh air on a hot summer day? Or am I suffocating and leaving a foul taste in the mouth? Don’t be deceived, not everyone loves the beauty of holiness. To some, it will
