All too often I spend my days at full speed. I try to cram so much in the day that I collapse at the end of the day in a heap; unable to move.
I thank God for days with nothing to do,
No places to go,
No one to see.
I can slow down,
For me that day is Sunday.
I need those days when I can let God renew my spirit and my body. Thank you, God, for the lazy days that restore what the world has left empty.
Times when we can
feel God’s presence,
God’s peace in our lives.
Times when we can recharge so that we are not running on empty.
